Our gemologist and designer, Bill Garlutzo, has been designing engagement rings for many years and is very excited to see the trend swing back to larger, quality, solitaire diamonds for engagement rings.
Over many years he has built relationships around the world and has kept his finger on the pulse in obtaining some of the top quality exclusive diamonds, ethically sourced for the best possible prices in Denver, CO. Andrews Jewelry Store has a reputation for spending quality time with each client, understanding their designs and budget needs and then sourcing their diamonds for them.
We have seen a trend, this summer, in princess cut diamonds and cushion cut diamonds. The settings have varied from solitaire white gold to a beautiful yellow gold studded with pave diamonds. We have also set some beautiful 1.5 carat diamonds in wave split shanks of rose and white gold mixed with pave diamonds on the white gold.
Oval and pear shaped larger diamonds were also top of our list for romantic, delicate settings. We also designed some remarkable square, halo style engagement rings. Increasingly we have seen a swing back interest in the three stone engagement ring with a contemporary slant to the settings. The center stones have also been varied from baguettes to trillions and pear shaped center diamonds. These three stone engagement rings are said to represent the past, present and future for the engaged couple.
Yellow gold is being requested more frequently this year and marries very well with solitaire diamonds as well as colored gemstones.
Halo engagement rings are very popular and we are getting more requests for intricate designs for the actual halo. The halo style setting complements the traditional round and cushion shaped diamonds beautifully and makes them appear larger.
Whichever style engagement ring suites you as a couple, we will be honored to help you design your piece that will capture your individual style and character.
